Taking The Plunge

So, you are thinking about putting in a pool are you? You have come to the right spot. I will provide you with a wealth of knowledge that will prepare you for what you are about to go through. That knowledge can also save you time, money and pain.

The first question to ask yourself...why?

Are the kids driving you crazy and you are looking to buy a very expensive babysitter? Do you want to make your neighbors jealous? Do you think it will increase the value of your home? Are you looking for a vacation retreat in your backyard? Do you think it will be good exercise? Do you have a graduation party planned around a pool? Or maybe, you have just completely lost your mind and you are a glutton for punishment? Whatever the reason is, you should take the Why? question heavily into consideration.

The primary reason you are thinking about putting in a pool should be the primary function of it. Makes sense doesn't it? Many pool buyers get lost from this initial thought and end up with something very different from what they planned. Kind of like going to the car dealer to get an oil change and coming home with new tires, wiper blades and a whole bunch of stuff you never intended on having. The correlation between car dealers and the swimming pool industry will appear again in this blog (especially in the sales process).

A swimming pool can be an enjoyable purchase or it can be an absolute nightmare. Doing your homework will help to limit the potential for disaster. That is what How to Survive Buying and Building A Swimming Pool is all about. I will provide you with my experiences to help get you on your way.
